Prague, and the Czech Republic as a whole, has become one of Europe's primary vacation hotspots. This vibrant, pulsating city is as visually arresting as it is fashionable, featuring several centuries of architecture completely untouched by the Second World War bombing that destroyed much of Europe's cultural heritage. We at IFB are delighted to help you to explore the hundreds of Prague's narrow, winding streets and alleys leading you through a maze of museums, bars, cafes, beautiful buildings and theatres.

PRAGUE

Prague is without doubt the tourist magnet of the Central European region, not only for its historical significance as an imperial residency of the Holy Roman Emperor and for its wealth of architecture of all types and periods, but even more so for being the capital of one of the nations which emerged from isolation and oppression in 1989 trough its peaceful and inspiring "Velvet Revolution".

And this is what is a must to see for every visitor:

PRAGUE CASTLE

Dominating the whole of the city, beautiful and imposing, one of the most impressive and largest of its type in the world.

OLD TOWN

The huge historical nucleus of City of Prague - the Old Town is offering rare delights and a flavour of mysterious medieval atmosphere.

CHARLES BRIDGE

Certainly a must for every visitor to Prague, this stone statue-flanked bridge connects the Old town and the Lesser Quarter. Visited at day or night , it offers splendid views of the castle and the National Theatre.

JEWISH GHETTO

This former ghetto is filled with legends such as that of the Golem and the Rabbi Loew who created him, but moreover it shows the ingenuity, genius and suffering of the people who lived there and were very much a part of the history and culture of Prague up to World War II. It is now possible to witness the re-emergence of Jewish life in Prague after the horrors of the Holocaust and the persecution by the communists.

LITTLE QUARTER

This is the area of the city most often rendered in paintings and photographs. It is filled with palaces, cathedrals, monasteries and gardens. Its cafés and pubs provide the prefect atmosphere for enjoying its many dazzling sights.
